Four hundred years after settling on planet Ellarion and its two moons, Osiris and Caelena, the human civilization encountered a previously unknown sentient race they called the Machines, who quickly initiated unprovoked hostilities towards the human colonies. The Machine war, primarily a series of unpredictable skirmish-like attacks by the Machines, lasted for eight decades, until very suddenly all grew quiet.\n\nTwenty years passed without a single sighting of the Machines. Then, without a warning, the Machines returned and executed a coordinated and devastating attack against the EOC Nations, destroying all major cities and leaving the few survivors scattered and beaten.\n\nThe larp begins seven days after the destruction.\n\nOur journey takes place onboard ESS Odysseus – an old military ship built during the early years of the Machine War.
